Our Views: Thank You, Retirees
Advertising
When the last bells ring on June 5, another fine chapter of Hoover High School history will come to a close. While most of our Hoover family will be returning in the fall, six of our most revered staff members will turn off their lights, lock their doors and bid farewell to the students and district they have given so much to.

Our district has been blessed to have had the guidance of six retiring staff members: Ms. Pam McCarthy, Mrs. Constance Campos, Mr. George Orphanides, Mrs. Deb Lea, Ms. Connie Hubbard and Mrs. Mary Jo Rabb. These inspirational people have given the district more than a century’s worth of service and have enlightened and encouraged countless thousands of students.

The educators have spent their lives training students in areas from journalism and cooking, to computer and physical sciences and physical education. Their efforts are best revealed by the numerous awards they have been given. Secretary Mrs. Rabb has worked for four principals in her 31 years at Hoover.

Each of them has made our school and community a better place through their tireless efforts. Their work has given our school much acclaim through the many awards their programs and their students have received. Many of their students have taken their lessons and turned them into promising careers as well.

The Viking Views staff is thankful for every one of these teachers. They have raised the bar for the new group of teachers who will follow in their footsteps. We wish each of these teachers the best of luck in their pursuits post-Hoover. Good luck, and thank you. You will all be missed.
