Are you afraid you might not have the credits you need to graduate? Or even to just make it to the next grade? There’s no need to worry, the solution to your problem is right at the tip of your fingers. Florida Virtual School is the best kept secret. It’s a great way to help you get ahead, or to make sure you don’t fall behind.

Zoar Ortiz who is a senior this year and took Business Systems Technology online said, “FLVS has helped me to catch up with my electives without interfering with my school schedule. Now I don’t have to worry about being behind come graduation.”

The best thing about FLVS is that you get to work at your own pace. If you’re a hard worker and like to get things done you can finish earlier. If you have a lot to do, like a job or too much homework from classes at school, then you can work at a slower rate. They even have a prolonged pace which is for people who probably don’t have enough time to work every week.

Lynann Barr also a senior took Life Management Skills and Personal Fitness over the summer through FLVS, said, “It was convenient because it freed up my schedule so I could take classes I wanted to take instead of classes I had had to take.”

The first thirty days is just a trial period. If you start the class and decide it just isn’t for you, you may drop the class with out it affecting your grade. Anytime after that you will have a failing grade that also appears on your transcripts.

Rexy Vazquez, a senior, has taken many classes through FLVS. “It has helped me get ahead in many ways and also gave me the chance to graduate with extra credits. It made it easier for me to plan my day and get the work done. BST was one of the many classes I took online.”

Another reason FLVS is so great is because it’s easy. It’s pretty much the same work you would do in a class room just instead it’s on the computer. You still have a teacher; sometimes you have more than one. They have monthly phone calls just to check in and make sure your on track. It’s a good way to be able to get work done without the disruption of other students.

Derrich Alfred got into FLVS over the summer when he realized he might not have enough time to get it done during the school year. “FLVS helped me fit chemistry into my schedule without having to take it during school. It’s easier to get the credit because everything is at your own pace and it’s a less stressful environment,” said Alfred.

In turn if you’re concerned that you don’t have enough credits to graduate, you want to raise your GPA, or maybe just get ahead; FLVS could be the answer for you. You can check out the website at www.flvs.net. Ask your guidance counselor for any help you need or questions you may have.
