Students who work for the G-Force recently attended a summit about education; the Ultimate Education Summit. Ten members of the force attended: Dina Arismendez, Brittani Lara, Joey Cobb, Lathe Hinch, Kristen Breitling, Danielle, Montoya, Brittney Bixler, Shannon Mink, Jenna Burton, and Travis Jones.

The summit had speakers come and talk to the force members about college. “We listened to people talk about how they overcame their adversities to succeed in college,” Senior Brittani Lara said.

The point of the summit was to encourage the members of G-Force to encourage their fellow students to attend college. That is why the Go Force and Go Center was started, to encourage high schoolers to attend college.

The attendees also got a chance to get information on colleges,

“There were booths from colleges,” Brittani said. It was sort of like a mini-career expo.”

The event was hosted by the Lubbock High Division of FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America.
