Alex Goot, an extremely talented but generally unrecognized artist on YouTube, is finally touring the East Coast in September with two other YouTube musicians, Luke Conard and Tiffany Alvord.
Goot has been making YouTube videos for approximately two years. His unique voice and look have captivated the country, and he is quickly gaining popularity by performing his covers. Alex has performed “The Edge of Glory,” “Dynamite,” “Just the Way You Are,” “Good Life,” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).” He also has produced original songs, such as “Pretty Eyes,” “Breathless,” “We Could Love,” and the most popular one, “Sensitivity.” Most of his videos have received over one million views.
Although he is unsigned, he has released two albums and plenty of singles. His very first album, “Songs I Wish I Wrote,” received a great deal of positive feedback from the YouTube community. On the album, he sings covers, such as “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Mine,” “Bad Romance,” and “California Gurls.” Goot is known for making each cover unique in his own way. In addition to that, he also plays his own instruments and occasionally duets with other Youtube artists.
Because of the great response to his videos and first album, Alex Goot released a second album called “Songs I Wish I Wrote, Volume 2.” It featured, “The Lazy Song,” “Hold It Against Me,” “Grenade,” “E.T,” and “Teenage Dream.”
In his newest video, he sings “Next To You” with his fellow tour members Luke Conard and Tiffany Alvord. On his upcoming tour, this number will be their signature performance because it features all three of the musicians.
Steven Perry, an online iTunes customer reviewer, gushed, “Alex Goot is one of the few undiscovered people that has started a cult following the internet. Staying true to his sound, these covers do justice to their own respective originals while putting the ‘Goot touch’ on every individual song. I can’t stress enough how good of a musician Alex Goot is.”
Goot’s touring partner, Tiffany Alvord, also performs a variety of selections, such as “Moves like Jagger,” “Skyscraper,” and even Lil Wayne’s “How to Love.” She can also play the piano and the guitar, and like Goot, performs most of her music in her basement.
Luke Conard, the final member of the tour, has seen his popularity skyrocket since he announced his upcoming tour with Alvord and Goot. His newest cover, “Two is Better than One,” has reached number two on the YouTube “Electronics” charts, right underneath Lady Gaga’s “You and Me.” Luke’s most famous song is his acoustic version of “I Wanna Go.” He also does other covers like Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper” and Ryan Seiller’s “July.”
Goot, Alvord, and Conard will be touring the East Coast starting August 26, and will be performing in Atlanta September 7 at the Masquerade.
