The weekend of November 19-21, was a spiritual experience that will never be forgotten by some Notre Dame students. Julie Brady, Ricky Ruiz, Hayli Otto, and Rachel Parkey are four Notre Dame students who are candidates for confirmation this year at Sacred Heart. On November 19th, these students made their way to the Blacksox Baseball Training Facility, where they met up with teens from three other parishes including Holy Family, Immaculate Conception, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. During the retreat, confirmation candidates spent their time reflecting, meditating, contemplating, and playing epic games of “Ricky-ball”! After an emotional Saturday night, many confirmation candidates discovered God in a new and exhilarating way. The retreat ended on a good note after noon Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. We are all filled with the spirit... we just need to find it.
