Arrowhead’s prom is Saturday, April 17, and with it comes the hundreds of dollars spent by each student attending. With dollars flying out of upperclassmen’s pockets, a good time is naturally expected. However, some find it difficult to muster up the courage to ask a date or give up when attempting to commit to a prom group. This spring, one prom group is defying basic behavior and going in a massive group of 30.
The limo is fit for 24, the pictures will be at a private home—no doubt outside, try getting a stair case to accommodate 30 is wishful thinking—and the kids are by far the trendiest at AHS. Who else would break such tradition? Of the 30, only three pairs are couples. That means, for all the single ladies attending prom and worried about enough lads to dance with, there will be some!
Why 30 people you ask? Partly, the group could not discriminate against a friend. Plus, with ten seats at each table, the group fills a perfect three spots. No one is left out so no one misses the prom experience. Conveniently there are three couples, meaning six people who will not be riding in the limo. That leaves a perfect 24, or the highest capacity any limo offers, to arrive in style.
When prom concludes, the party will carry on elsewhere. Some choose to rent out bowling alleys while others go to an individual’s home. After all, prom fun should not end with the dance. Whatever the legal activity might be, finding entertainment following Olympia is one traditional way for seniors to celebrate their final year.
