We all know what a nightmare is: waking up in the middle of the night, sheets wet with sweat, and being confused about what you just dreamt. The question is, who has the worst nightmares, men or women? A new study shows that women are more likely to have nightmares. Why is this?

There are many types of nightmares we can have. One type is an existential nightmare where the dreamer loses something they love, whether it is a person, animal, or object. Women are most likely to have these dreams. They are more troubling for women, who may even wake up crying from them.

Women also tend to remember their dreams more than men do. This includes the dreams they would rather not remember. They also might try to find out what the dream means, which might disturb them in their lives and lead to worse nightmares at night.

Overall, women just remember their dreams better, even if they are not so pleasant. Men still have nightmares, but they just won’t remember them when they wake up, thus it won’t bother them during their day (which could lead to a worse sleep the next night).

If you have problems in your life as a child or teenager, your adult life and your dream life may have troubles. The dreamer will have horrible dreams most of their adult life. Yet, there is a curing treatment for nightmares. It is to persuade the women to give their dreams a better, happier ending. You do this by reviewing your dreams and thinking how you can improve them. When you feel better during the day about your dreams, you will make yourself have better dreams. By changing your dreams, you can get a better understanding of your reality.

As you have read, women have worse nightmares than men. It is just the emotional impact that women have, and also their ability to carry their life problems with them to their sleep. Nightmares can awaken you to troubles in your life, so don’t just shrug off the bad dreams. Just think why you had this nightmare, how it relates to your life, and how you can make it better from now on in your life.
