At-a-glance

Experience at VMT is one that will last a lifetime: Observations
Advertising
My VMT experience is one to remember for the rest of my life.

I learned many things in the four years I spent in this school. I met excellent and talented students which I will always remember. It actually felt like a place I belonged to, it felt like home.

Everyone that composed VMT from the staff to the students was special in their own way and they were like family. VMT was a totally different scene from your regular high school. We were treated as actual young adults, not as little kids.

The majority of teachers took seriously their responsibility of teaching us. In contrast with my home campus we “students” actually had a say in school matters.

At my home campus if students do not agree with something and they complain, nobody seems to listen or even care what we say. At VMT our director always listens to us when we have something to say and he actually does something about it.

In my journalism classes I had one of the best teachers that taught me everything I needed to know to be a journalist and photographer. I really enjoyed being in that class because I had a lot of fun and I got along with every single person. Being in the dark room (the small room where we develop film and print pictures) was like stepping into another world.

In the Magnet Tribune I had the freedom to express my opinion on any topic I chose.

I could go on writing a whole book about how much I enjoyed being a student at VMT but I won’t do that. I just hope VMT stays intact and doesn’t change in any way.

I’m leaving VMT with wonderful memories. Wherever the future takes me I’ll always relate back to these days.
