What "My Journalism Year" Taught Me
Paper People joined together ~ being able to share her thoughts with others through blogging was one of blogger Dacia Mallia's favorite things about Journalism. - Google Images

In Journalism this year, I learned a lot.  I learned how to format certain stories and how to write a variety of different types of stories, like features, blogs, and news.  Too, I learned how to rewrite other stories in my own words and I learned how to present quotes in a way that makes sense and doesn't make my writing awkward.

I enjoyed doing regular blogs the most because it was the easiest and most fun way to express my opinion about things. With blogs, I liked being able to put my opinion out there and make my views public.  I liked people being able to read about what I have to say.

Writing and debating is "my thing.” I like to have an open mind to as much as I can and and I like to elaborate while sharing my thoughts. Words are so powerful and I like to experiment with them; my Journalism class was just a great way to experiment.
