OK Go is an Indie band of sorts. They are most famous for a particular music video in which they danced on a series of moving treadmills.

The video was a hit on YouTube, and it gained much attention for the band. Ever since, OK Go has strived to make wild, complicated and well-planned music videos. The video to their new song “Needing/Getting” is no different.

It was produced in a partnership with Chevy, as part of their Super Bowl campaign for the Chevy Sonic. In the video, the band members drive in a Chevy Sonic through a series of contraptions. Bumpers and poles attached to the car hit different sound making devices and instruments along the path of the vehicle. Aside from the vocals, the entire song is comprised of the sounds that the car makes while it hits the objects.

The amount of planning that went into this video is unbelievable. Not only would the structures themselves have to be built, but the car maneuvers and choreography itself would have to be perfected, not to mention the timing of the car hitting each note.

“Needing/Getting” is currently topping the charts at www.viralvideochart.com, a website devoted to promoting the current popular videos on the YouTube. OK Go has done it again.
