Procrastination; why do we do it? Don’t we have enough teenage angst and stress without the added pressure of performing an activity, such as doing homework, at the last minute? I guess we’re just lazy. I’m lazy, guys. It’s not something to brag about; nothing to be ashamed of (maybe). It’s rather a stating of fact. We’re all lazy at times. We’ll throw on our crappy scrubby clothes and just laze around all day like cats; too bad we don’t get the additional feline quality of nine lives because that would be cool. Anyhow, returning to the topic, procrastination comes naturally to every person as the next. Some choose not to; and if you’re one of them, good for you. Others, such as me, are very susceptible to the temptation of doing absolutely nothing productive until we’re forced at the last minute to produce something of productivity. (Why am I using big words such as productivity? Because it sounds cooler.) Take for example, this very moment, as I’m writing this, I have procrastinated writing this article for practically a whole month. Fantastic, isn’t it? A whole month! I mean, there are certain degrees of procrastination of course; there are those who are on the more intensified means of procrastination, meaning we procrastinate hardcore. No joke. Well, kids; moral of this little blurp slurp is that procrastination can be good and bad. Some work better under pressure, and others don’t. If you do, great; if you don’t, that sucks. So I say to you, Procrastination; to be or not to be. (I think.) Yes.

La de da de da de da de da~ Song-writing is a passion for me. Lately I’ve been composing my own music and writing my own lyrics; although the music portion is going rather well, I seem to have the inability to create fantastic lyrics that will knock your socks off in amazement. Sometimes I might get a great line or two by accident, but that is luck, not talent. Random fact: Did you know a lot of hip hop singers out there don’t create their own music? They have people to make the music for them. This recent discovery has changed my mind on our generation’s music entirely (or if not entirely, then to a surprising extent). Also, in South Korea, their bands don’t even write or make their own music; it’s entirely done by some hired individual. How crazy! Well anyhow, I’ve been song writing and singing for a while now. Good luck to all you other song-writers and hopeful stars-to-be!

Due to a complete love and ability to deliver fantastic pickup lines, I’ll leave some of them here for you as the conclusion to my wonderful blog entry/article. “Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?” I love that one. Here’s another. “Shoot. There’s something wrong with my phone. It doesn’t seem to have your number in it.” Or the ever popular: “Hey, My name’s Mr. Right. I heard you were looking for me.” Then also the popular “If you were a booger, I’d pick you first.” is a fantastic and easy score with an individual regardless of gender. I prefer the revised and simply better version of that; being “If you were a Pokémon, I’d choose you first.” That one is one of my personal favorites. To possibly add a little spice or suaveness, add the hip and cool word “baby” after every phrase; I seem to notice it works with the chicks, or even guys, rather well because it proved very successful for Justin Beiber. Who knew that the repetition of the word “baby” in a syncopated rhythm with the addition of a final climatic and rhyming note of “Oh” and “No” would create one of the most well-known chorus lines of one of the most well-known songs of the 21st century? I could say for myself, that I personally did not see that coming; nor did I see a pubescent boy getting into a pregnancy/sex scandal at the age of 16. But, if it would happen to anyone, it would be happening to the Beyoncé-loving Beiber. Anyhow, back to one last final pickup line. “People call me Annie (or Insert Own Name Here), but you can call me tonight.”

So kids, these are things I’m lovin’, and I think you should love them too. Procrastinate (not too much), create some music, and use some pick-up lines. Stay health in this chilly winter, kids!
