When the world found out Kim Kardashian was getting a divorce from her husband, Kris Humphries, the world went into complete shock. Of course, people thought that the wedding wouldn’t last long, but they never expected it to last 72 days.

            I really don’t know what to think of Kim’s decision to divorce her husband so soon. Maybe she did get married to get the attention of the media, but after all, she is human. She might have really loved Kris Humphries and later realized it was a mistake.

                Many people have different opinions when it comes to the issue of whether or not Kim is doing what she is for the attention of the media, and others agree that she is just another person who makes errors in her decisions.

            Angel Parga, 18, first thoughts about Kim Kardashians divorce is that of the gay community.

            “I haven’t really given it much thought, but 72 days married?” said Parga. “And they say gay people aren’t a good symbol for marriage? Am I right? We deserve equality!”

            Lee Alcantara has a different opinion on the Kardashian outcome.

            “Kim Kardashian did not make a mockery out of marriage; I think that when she got married it was because she thought she was in love mistakes happen,” said Alcantara. “People may believe she made a lot of money which she did, but also lost a lot. It was a mistake.”

            Shelby Schumacker, a senior at Furr High School, had much to say over the scandalous decision.

             “I think Kim got married for more attention and to have the media focused on her. She had no intention on staying married, everyone figured that out when she filed for divorce after 72 days, and Kris Humphries had no clue about it. Whether Kim meant it or not, she pretty much ruined his career. He makes less money now then he did before he married her,” said Schumacker. “No one, not even Kim ever saw her getting married. There is no way anyone should have thought that Kim would ever get married and stay married. Kim is just not wife material. She is, and always will be a lonely Kim Kardashian.”
