I couldn't decide what to write about this week, so I chose something that has been on my mind a lot lately. Travel.
Being in Endicott for too long drives me crazy, so until school ends, I've been traveling the world through my laptop.
Below, is a list of places i would like to travel, in no particular order, and some crazy reason as to why.
1. Humboldt County, California. Among several reasons to travel to California, Humboldt particularly catches my interest because of it's location, population, the climate and location. Located bordering Oregon and the Pacific, it's ideally where i would choose to live in California. With a small city, Eureka, which has many medical centers, it is also ideal for someone in nursing. Humboldt has those giant red wood trees and other plants i love as well.
2. Central Park , New York City. I love central park. The bridges, trees, giant rocks, buidings right up against nature. I think Central Park is easily the greatest part about visiting Manhattan and it has been way too long since i've been able to do so.
3. Glasgow, Scotland. The UK excites me. I think that international travel in general does, but with connections in Glasgow, this is actually a possibility to travel to, which puts it on my list. I feel like the UK would be like a parallel world to the US. They still speak English, but many things are different.
4. Amsterdam, Belgium. I would enjoy seeing Amsterdam because of things i have heard about it. I don't expect much, honestly, but i still think it would be quite an experience.
5. Dharamsala, India. Traveling here interests me because getting to this town is a journey. To reach Dharamsala, which is located in the mountains, you need to trek through forrest terrain. i feel like this would be an exciting adventure, and the destination seems exciting and cultured.
6. Alaska. Alaska has nature and culture unlike anywhere in the US and even the world. Featuring the northern lights, eskimos, and caribou, a short stay in some frigid weather could definitely be worth it.
7. Hawaii. I've been to Hawaii once before, and would really like to visit now that i am older and could appreciate it even more. The water falls, beaches, weather, and nearly everything about Hawaii is breathtaking, and I definitely want to return.
8. Paris, France. Probably one of the worlds more romantic cities, i would like to visit Paris and the french country side simply to see the beauty and history that makes a place so distinct. I feel like America lacks a lot of this beauty because it simply doesn't have as much history.
9. Egypt. The pyramids, the history, sand and stuff.
