With the world in havoc, how come we must suffer through horrible movies? The finger can be pointed at two men, M. Night Shyamalan and Michael Bay. This is my rant on these two horrible director/screenwriters. Lets start with M. Night, movies like Lady in the Water and The Village, who could disagree with me that this man should consider early retirement from film making? he takes too much of his focus on his "twist endings", that he forgets about the store he tries to tell. All in all he just bores the audience to death up into "twist endings" and he loses us enough that we dont care about the ending, we just want to go home and bash it. I'm at the point with M. Night that he has never made a decent film away from him, he no longer gets credit for it and with his latest debacle, The Last Airbender, we fans scream out "JUST RETIRE."<br />Now we move to a man who make M. Night's failures look watchable. I'm of course speaking of Michael Bay, who has made so many bad films he is considered the Satan of film making. What makes Michael Bay so bad, is that he has no idea what the definition of a plot is. Special effects do NOT equal a plot Mr. Bay, they are supposed to add to the plot. But, I guess you don't know the difference and must no care. Take for example, Pearl Harbor. Only an idiot could mess up a film about a historical topic. I have no clue how he thought people would be interested in a love triangle, when its about the attack on Pearl Harbor. But, the entire film spends its time focusing on that stupid triangle. The only real shining moments of that film is when it actually refers to the historical events. Pearl Harbor is just the tip of the iceberg with Mr. Bay. His biggest atrocity came in 2009 with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. At least the first Transformers was watchable, but the sequel should only be shown for two reasons: One, for torture purposes and two, it should be shown as an example of how not to make a movie. Yet, all of theses crimes against film making, his career is still going and it's beyong me. He needs to retire from film making quicker than M. Night because at least he tries to make a good film. So, both M. Night and Mr. Bay are the single worse film makers in movie history, and those are the facts.
