Some people just make me mad. And they know who they are too.

I absolutely cannot stand the person who sits there and talk about how bad Shores football is when he is sitting on his lazy butt and the kid is 6’ 4’’ 250 pounds.

If he thinks the team is so awful, why doesn’t he get up and do something about it? Half of them aren’t even involved in sports. They think that for some reason, even though they have never done it, they know everything there is to know about football and that they could fix it.

Why don’t you then!

We aren’t going to turn you away if you’re willing to work for us. It’s almost impossible to build a good program when there are only 15 boys consistently showing up and putting a good days work in.

If I hear one more idiot go off on how bad we are I will explode. We have the potential.

Our JV team just beat Caledonia recently, and they aren’t a bad program. They are playoff contenders every year and our 20-man squad beat them. We have the skills we just need some depth and more players to work with.

Not to be stereotypical, but it's good to see a football player can express himself through writing. Unlike Brady, I believe he has done the right thing. As a journalist, it is his job to fire back with words. It's called recruiting, if they only have 15 committed players, they need help. He wants change, at least he is doing something about it.

I don't think criticizing your fellow classmates is going to solve your problems on the field. It's understandable to be frustrated about the teams lack of success on the field, but calling out those who aren't a part of the team isn't going to make you any better as a team. You're fighting an up-hill battle in football, and it should just motivate you and your team more to improve on the field, not to ask your doubters to join the team. Athletes and teams get criticized - that's what you sign up for when you play a sport - it's not your job to fire back with words, fire back on the field.

I have to comment about this. Everybody, and I mean everybody has been waiting for Shores to turn their program into something. You are 100% correct, Shores has a huge amount of talent. I can't see why we do not have a stronger program. We should be competing at the state level in almost every sport. Look how Kurant turned the Volleyball program into something. Tennis has been consistently good since the mid 90s. You have to understand that since Shores' beginning (early 60's I think), we have NEVER made the playoffs. One or two guys from the cheap seats won't build a program. The program itself needs an overhaul.
