Welcome to the Hawks Nest!

At-a-glance

And oh how I wish I could indulge in the midnight magic. But I’m torn. Because I wish that magic wasn’t going to end.

It is like a tiny morsel of my soul is going to be ripped out after the movie is over. Literally.

No more Harry. No more Hermione. No more Ron. No more Professor Lupin.

For those of you who aren’t Harry Potter fans, you should officially go for a second and sit in a corner and cry about the part of your life that is missing.

That little magic-ey hopeful portion that keeps me going is about to be gone.

How will you ever replace that, Hollywood? Certainly not with Cowboys and Aliens. What the crap kind of movie is that supposed to be? I mean, let’s be serious- Lassos and bull riding weenies vs. awesome creatures that most likely have laser vision? That’s a tough one.

Let’s hope it’s with the Smurfs. Not only does it promise little blue Pillsbury doughboys running around NYC, but in 3D, too! OK, why does that need 3D?? Then again, it’s not like you can just go out on the streets of NYC and see little blue people running around…. Oh wait… you probably can… nexxtt..

Final Destination 5. This one’s just funny. I thought they had reached their final destination after the original… final… destination. Oh, movies.

And I am sick of Spy Kids. We get it.

The only legitimate movie I am looking forward to that doesn’t even have a trailer yet is The Hunger Games. That’s some good stuff. With hopefully the same political messages in the movie as there were in the book-  an artful screw you to big government and socialism (which I’m sure many teens missed when reading the books). Applause to author, Suzanne Collins for the awesome series. Hollywood, now it’s your turn.

The Dark Knight Rises might be a good one, but no one beats Heath Ledger, may the amazing actor rest in peace.

I think you need to make a whole lot more movies with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Then, maybe I might feel a little bit better.

Or, I mean, I don’t even care if you come up with a cheesy Harry Potter 8 part 1of 5. I would love to see Harry’s love affair with Malfoy. That’d get some ratings. There is certainly enough fanfiction for it. Just keep it alive, people.
