Varsity District Tennis was held in Franklin on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. To advance to regionals, the tennis player must place 1 st or 2 nd . Several athletes competed in District. Boys Doubles: 3 rd Place- Taylor Hamilton and Fernando Zambrano 5 th Place- Wade Venable and Jake Joplin Boys Singles: 2 nd Place- Timmy Campbell 4 th Place- Stephen Calixtro Mixed Doubles: 4 th Place- Michael Campbell and Emily Holmes 5 th Place- Michael Harvey and Maysel McSwane Girls Doubles: 2 nd Place- Brandi Dixon and Markie Hertel 4 th Place- Genea Cannon and Emily Boyd Girls Singles: 3 rd Place- Lindsay Hayes 5 th Place- Natalie Yeaman Those advancing to regionals include Timmy Campbell in Boys Singles, and Brandi Dixon and Markie Hertel in Girls Doubles.
