By Ashley Galvan

You know when you’re halfway through high school and people always tell you, “don’t worry you still have time to contemplate on all these big decisions.” Well guess what? You don’t! Time flies when you’re in high school, by the time you know it you have to finish community hours, take sats, start getting recommendation letters, and decide what you’re going to major in to start investing time in it. Sometimes we overstress about things that are still light years away but I don’t want to be stressing even more last minute! This is just the beginning though, but I have confidence in myself that I will be able to handle the pressure once I get to college. Which I can’t wait to! This is not about going into the “real world” or “start living life”. We start living life since day one! It’s about taking charge of your future and really being on your own. Well for some – others still depend greatly on their parents- anyhow don’t wait until the last minute to start giving thoughts to these things but don’t stress over them since day one. We do have time but don’t take advantage of it. Sometimes you spend all this time worrying about all the wrong things like boyfriends and impressing people you’ll probably won’t even see after high school. That won’t take you anywhere at the end of the day. Give a serious thought of what do you have to do that will benefit in the long run. I know we’re teenagers we think about the “now” but the next decision we make can impact our lives forever.
