AC Failure Causes School Schedule Change

The principle assures that the problem is fixed for good now.

The air conditioning, as students of Globe High School can see, is a major problem that has been occurring frequently during this year of 2011. The ac having failed one day caused early dismissal at the school for two days, Monday and Tuesday. “The ac unit was down and broken and a leak in the system caused it to turn off for two days, until the problem was fixed, so therefore school was dismissed,” reported Dr. Richard, Globe High School principle. For some of the students it was a joy to hear the news of early dismissal for two days. But for others and some teachers it was hard because of the accumulation of work that there was going to be as makeup. “I hope this problem gets fixed soon because students shouldn’t be made to study in the heat, even though winter is already about to break through and it’s time for the heater to go on,” said GHS student Kelsea White. Will this affect any holiday schedules in our later 2011-2012 school year. Dr. Richard reported, “At this point in time no, but there is a remote possibility that we may have to come to school on a Friday next semester.” “I sure hope we don’t have to come to school and make up extra days for the ones we have missed, but probably not at this time,” said Kelsea White.
