February 12 th 2011 was the Total Eclipse of the Heart dance hosted by Student Council. The goal of the dance was to raise money to donate to the Children’s HeartLink charity foundation. Children’s HeartLink provides medical treatment and research for heart disease in adolescents and adults. Student Council raised over $300 through admission and concessions, all of which was donated to the charity. All grades were welcomed to attend the dance. While I was dancing the night away, I managed to interview a few of my fellow dancers and Student Council members. Here’s what they had to say about the dance: Brinn Bish said the dance “made her heart want to dance out of her chest.” Kacy Lewis had a blast saying “I spent the entire night in front of the DJ dancing with some awesome people.” Adro Cherico thought the dance turned out really well," After all the work we put into it, I’m glad these kids had fun.” Student Council would thank everyone who attended the dance.
