The OFA Blue Devils looked for a big victory on their senior night and they got it. However, Gouverneur did provide a scare in the first half. The Wildcats took advantage of a great kick return on the opening kickoff and put up the first points of the game. On the very next possession for the Devils, Jared Morrow connected with Eric Barr to knot it up at 6. The next time OFA had the ball they took the lead on a Jared Morrow quarterback keeper. OFA’s defense came up big at the end of the first half and stopped a serious Wildcat drive to maintain their 13-6 lead going into the half. The way the second half started made it look like the Devils were going to be in for a battle, as Gouverneur scored on the first play when Zach Cummings ran in a 38 yard end-around. But, OFA wouldn’t let the Wildcats come into their home field and spoil senior night. OFA went on to score 34 unanswered points in the second half to take the game 47-12. Jared Morrow played his best game of the season, finishing 8-15 for 239 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Connor Ives ran the ball 9 times for 115 yards for the Devils. OFA travels to Canton on Saturday to face the Bears in their final regular season game.
