Girls’ varsity soccer wound down

d a very successful tem this year. Even though they didn’t win leagues, they still got 11 th place in the leagues. The team worked excellent together. Most of the girls on the team have been playing together since they were in 1 st grade. The seniors will be missed this year. Cassidie Smith a senior stated, "I’m going to miss all the girls we play with and the sport in general and being a senior is a change knowing I won’t be playing next year. I’ve played for 13 years with the girls on this team; it’s going to be weird once it’s all over." The team is in Class B, which is not an easy to compete in because our school is so small. Although the girls did not win their sectional game against Waterloo on October 25 th 2011, they still got the satisfaction of working together one last time. The final score was 5-1. This year’s team was fortunate to do so well this season. They worked very hard and their overall record is 5-6-4. Maddie Brown, a junior on the team, states "I will miss the comradery with the seniors and their effort the most." Way to go, ladies and good luck to all the seniors.
