Two Students Win Tickets to Two of the Hottest Concerts this Summer

“Tickets!” “1 for $1, 4 for $3 and 7 for $5!” These are some of the things the newspaper staff at St. Joseph has been yelling out as we have been raffling tickets to Rihanna’s Loud Tour and the Warped Tour. That’s right, we were fortunate enough to receive a total of four tickets for both concerts. Two lucky winners will get to hear the “Only Girl In The World” singer belt out her hits at the Izod Center alongside special guests like Cee-Lo Green and J. Cole on July 21. Two other lucky winners will get to experience the Warped Tour with performers including Paramore, 3OH!3, Gym Class Heroes and Yelawolf at the Nassau Coliseum on July 23. In the past few weeks, The Parmentier newspaper staff has been raffling away tickets to either both concerts in hopes of raising money for future newspaper projects. After the raffle was completed, The Parmentier staff was proud to say that $80 in raffle tickets were sold all together. The raffle was a success and two winners were drawn out randomly. Freshman Heaven Valles and junior Chanice Deare were the lucky winners as each received a pair of tickets to one of the concerts. Our gratitude is owed to Moxie, the public relations company who provided us with the tickets. Now, we just hope that the ladies are ready to get “Loud” with Rihanna and have a blast at the Warped Tour this summer.
